The Kotkot machine was developed while working as a hacker for the Tovari marketing agency. It consisted on a machine that used an ultrasonic sensor to detect the presence of people in front of the shelf, in order to play chicken coop sounds and potentially increase the egg sales. This slide (hand drawn by me) was used to pitch the idea to the client.
The idea consisted on placing this on the supermarkets. The case was 3D printed, and all the components used were off the shelf, including the Raspberry Pi, the loudspeakers and the ultrasonic sensor.
On top of the electronics, the software was programmed in Python using NOOBS (New Out Of Box Software) operating system and installation platform.
